Sea of Love

The aim of the route is to give hikers new nature experiences and evoke affections in an open landscape. The two themes are familiar to humanity since thousands of years: sea and love. On the one hand, these words bring to mind feelings of being free and going away, on the other hand, they refer to a sense of being grounded in something stable. We stay for a while by the wide open delta and the Bothnian Sea and it may be mentally more rewarding for us than a one week fitness holiday. Enjoying the beautiful scenery in the presence of a close person makes the cycling trek something more than just an everyday experience.

For this trail, starting at Yyteri Spa Hotel, some fitness, five hours and a nice packed lunch are required. First we cycle via Fatijärvi to Hilska Island where there is a Guidance Centre for wind power. Further over to Mäntyluoto Hotel and, via the harbour, to Kallo Cliffs. The next target is the idyllic quarters of wooden houses in Uniluoto. On our way to Herrainpäivät Cape we also have the opportunity to see Karhuluoto Villas and take a dip in one of the two Herrainpäivät Sumps. After Herrainpäivät Cape and the nature path we return to Yyteri Spa Hotel and Yyteri Sands.
